Erin Bushey Mistry, MS, Senior Consultant, Cinteger LLC provides management consultant services by drawing upon her diverse experiences in project management, business development, and leadership training. Erin’s rich experience in engineering as well as the complex field of health care uniquely equips her to employ advanced consulting strategies.
 
As Management Engineer at the Duke University Health System, Erin led operation analyses to integrate the Balanced Scorecard management structure with Six Sigma methodologies in the outpatient and hospital environments. In addition, Erin’s responsibilities included monitoring key performance indicators; setting targets to align with the health system’s strategic initiatives; and redistributing resources.
 
As Engineer Consultant in the United States Department of Navy Surface Warfare Center, Erin was a member of the design team charged with creating a leadership development program. In addition, Erin conducted feasibility studies; analyzed operations, such as how best to utilize personnel and equipment; and delivered Department of Defense acquisition management support. Specific efforts included the following:
 
  • Program management of COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) Program
  • Six Sigma development between equipment supplier Lockheed Martin and the US Government
  • Risk management following contract awards
 
As Industrial Engineer in the Aircraft Engine Division of General Electric, Erin was project manager for the largest engine line supplier to Boeing – the CF-6 engine line. In addition, Erin helped to lead performance improvement efforts utilizing Six Sigma Methodology and was involved in Innovative Operational Methods Planning (OMP) that reduced errors in build processes and downstream rework. Other significant efforts included:
 
  • Established CF-34 Engine flow line and layout of facility to meet volume increase
  • Communicated with part suppliers to pre-sort bins that can be placed directly on flow line - allowing for just-in-time inventory and reduced cycle time of engine build
 
Erin earned her bachelor of science in industrial engineering at NC State University and further went on to earn her master of science in biomechanics at East Carolina University. Erin completed Six Sigma Black Belt training at the NC State University, College of Textiles. She is a member of the Institute for Industrial Engineers (IIE) and Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).
